azure: it's religious experience, not schizophrenia

i will go through the list of symptoms of schizophrenia and just explain all of them away.

basically, i think people who are observed and thought to be schizophrenic are misunderstood geniuses. i am upset that people on the outside observing someone, just because THEY don't understand them, INVALIDATE their subjective experiences. just because they lack the language or vocabulary to understand them. anyone who has a peak religious experience isn’t exactly going to be understood by someone with a "normal" mindset. someone from the outside trying to understand another person’s inside thoughts comes across serious troubles with LANGUAGE.

here is what my translations of the symptoms are, and I come to see that LANGUAGE is the obstacle to understanding.

1. “paranoid delusions, or delusions of persecution, for example believing that people are "out to get" you, or the thought that people are doing things when there is no external evidence that such things are taking place.”

ok when someone feels religious power, obviously it is going to tick off some people. you see this time and again in famous religious leaders. it is wise to consider who it is going to tick off. so if the person says “those people are out to get me” what that really means is “i’m scared those people are out to politically get me because my beliefs differ and threaten theirs.” but when you in a vulnerable state of mind, grammar isn’t really a priority. however, to people on the outside, grammar is a priority. so there’s the problem.

2. “delusions of reference - when things in the environment seem to be directly related to you even though they are not. for example it may seem as if people are talking about you or special personal messages are being communicated to you through the TV, radio, or other media”

again, to someone who has had a terrifying religious or spiritual experience, everything from the environment may have a powerful MEANING- maybe not “speak” as in say “hello how are you” but- “speak” as in “have direct personal meaning.” when i say “the newspaper headlines are speaking to me!” what that translates to is: “i can understand the spiritual equivalent of what the headlines is about, and since i am dealing with spiritual issues, then that means something to me!”

3. “somatic delusions are false beliefs about your body - for example that a terrible physical illness exists or that something foreign is inside or passing through your body."

well I don’t know whether to call this a delusion or just a intuition or feeling. because obviously intuition is not seen, but felt. if someone feels sick, then take them for their word. also, someone saying “oh no! there is a worm going through me!” ok just take that METAPHORICALLY ok? they are just saying “I’m afraid!” delusions are just thoughts, and when the imagination blurs with reality, imagination is so real. The language of “schizophrenia” is really a metaphorical language. If you take things literally, you’re missing the boat.

4."delusions of grandeur - for example when you believe that you are very special or have special powers or abilities. an example of a grandiouse delusion is thinking you are a famous rock star."

again, religious experience of God necessarily gives a grandiose inspiration because all it is, is the feeling of immense human potential. i think everyone should have this feeling, because when you feel moved by the God experience, then you unleash a lot of potential. that’s a good thing. and even if someone thinks they are a famous rock star, give encouragement! it is a METAPHOR. just like a dream is a metaphor for something meaningful to a person.

5. "hallucinations"– now any hallucination is basically the imagination at work. And obviously as someone from the OUTSIDE you can’t EXPERIENCE someone’s INSIDE feelings, so don’t discount it!

when someone says “i’m seeing a vulture flying toward me!” it’s a lot like dream interpretation. you have to ask, well what does the vulture SYMBOLIZE to the person. When someone says “i’m hearing wailing” and there isn’t a sound. it’s a SYMBOL of something bothering the person. ask who is wailing? you can do the same thing for the sense of touch, taste, smell. thought is real for the person, even if it's not real to you. your thoughts are real to you, even if they are not real to someone outside of you.

6. "disorganized speech (e.g., frequent derailment or incoherence)"

basically someone who has had an ecstatic religious experience is so excited that it’s hard to communicate with someone who has NOT reached the same type of experience. it’s like someone who knows calculus trying to explain it to a 10 year old. getting so excited about a thought that you’re thinking so fast that people can’t keep up with you.

7. "grossly disorganized or catatonic behavior (An abnormal condition variously characterized by stupor/innactivity, mania, and either rigidity or extreme flexibility of the limbs)."

i’d say this is part of a mystic trance experience in which someone’s body has “left” and the mind keeps going. the body becomes flexible because the mind has taken over. i've had this experience where i can hear myself breathing, be aware of my body, yet my mind is in a completely different place, as if i am someone else. the mind-body connection is important to explore.

8. "lack of emotion - the inability to enjoy acitivities as much as before, Low energy - the person sits around and sleeps much more than normal Affective flattening - a blank, blunted facial experession or less lively facial movements or physical movements."

well I wouldn’t be surprised, especially if there are a lack of people to understand you.

9. alogia (difficulty or inability to speak)

well I wouldn’t be surprised, especially if there are a lack of people to understand you.

10. inappropriate social skills or lack of interest or ability to socialize with other people. inability to make friends or keep friends, or not caring to have friends.

this is an interesting one. yeah cuz you’re sort of on a different wavelength. because stupid chatter doesn’t matter after you have thought about spiritual things. you want someone who can understand you. you want to be alone and care about those immediate around you.

11. cognitive symptoms refer to the difficulties with concentration and memory. These can include: disorganized thinking, slow thinking, difficulty understanding, poor concentration, poor memory, difficulty expressing thoughts, difficulty integrating thoughts, feelings and behavior.

this is interesting because this describes someone from the OUTSIDE perspective of someone WITHOUT an outlet of someone who understands what they are thinking. just wait until they find an outlet of a loving relationship. that will change everything.
